Updated June 8 2009 – Barry Bonds’ wife, Liz Watson, has filed for legal separation. Liz Watson and Barry Bonds were married in 1998. Their daughter is now 10 years old. When Bonds married Watson, it was his second time down the aisle. Watson filed court papers to ask for joint physical custody and legal custody of their daughter. Liza Watson has requested for spousal support.

Barry Bonds’ first wife was Susann Margreth Branco. Bonds and Branco divorced in 1994.

Barry Bonds’ urine sample that was stored in 2003 has tested positive for performance enhancing substances. Barry Bonds’ urine sample was tested under the Major League Baseball’s program. This sample was seized in a raid in 2004 and retested by UCLA Olympic laboratory. Fox News broke this story.

Barry Bonds’ urine sample contained traces of a designer steroid called THG or “The Clear.” This steroid was previously undetectable. New York Times broke out a similar story on Barry Bonds last week. Federal agents detected anabolic steroids in Barry Bonds’ urine sample.
