Lin Miaoke, the little girl who “sang” at the Beijing Olympic opening ceremony was only miming. The singer was Yang Peiyi, a chubby seven year old with uneven teeth.

Chen Qigang, the general music designer of the opening ceremony, said that he received an order to fix a problem (the singer did not look attractive enough) so he decided to substitute the singer. The child singer the world saw on stage was a fake actress who mimed her lines. Was it ethical?
