Lilly Ledbetter worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber for 19 years. One day, Ledbetter received an anonymous note that revealed her salary, in comparison with the salaries of 3 other male peers. Ledbetter saw that she was paid less by 4% than her male peers. Ledbetter was very angry. She filed a lawsuit against Goodyear Tire & Rubber. Lilly Ledbetter was awarded justice in a way but there was a clause which hindered the rendition of justice. Ledbetter was finally shown injustice in a very ironic way.
