Levi Kereama, ex Australian Idol finalist, is dead. Levi Kereama (photo here) was seen jumping down to his death from a high floor of a hotel in Brisbane.

Levi Kereama, ex Australian Idol of 2003, had performed at Parklife music festival. Levi Kereama was suspected to have suffered from depression.

On Oct. 4, at around 10:30 pm, police received a report that a man had leapt to his death. The man was suspected to have committed suicide. Police arrived to find Levi Kereama dead at the scene. It was believed that Levi Kereama had fallen from the balcony of his high level hotel room. Eye witnesses who saw something falling from the upper floor of the hotel were initially confused. They thought they saw a piece of furniture being thrown out. When people checked at the griund level, they saw the body of Levi Kereama.

Levi Kereama participated in Australian Idol in 2003 and made it into the top 12 finalists. Levi was eliminated in the 6th place. Levi Kereama’s music career soared and he recorded several singles in 2004. Levi Kereama was known to his close friends as being depressed but it was unclear why professional help was not sought.

Levi Kereama, RIP.
