Leonard Peltier: Leonard Peltier’s parole
By Therese Lisieux on May 12th, 2009Native American activist, Leonard Peltier, was convicted and sentenced for killing two FBI agents in 1975.Peltier has been behind bars for 33 years. Peltier is one of the longest serving prisoners in USA. Peltier’s supporters have tried numerous time to appeal for his release. Peltier will be due for a parole application in 2009. People wonder if Obama will approve of parole for Leonard Peltier.
Fellow Native American activist, Anna Mae Pictou Aquash, was also killed, allegedly because she knew about Peltier’s involvement in the deaths of the two FBI agents.
