Leon Roach: Leon Roach died
By Therese Lisieux on September 7th, 2009Leon Roach, a pole vaulter from the University of San Diego, has died. Roach died after he suffered injuries during training for pole vaulting. Roach was 19 and a sophomore from Huntington Beach. Roach was injured on Thursday, September 3. Roach died in hospital on Saturday, September 5.
What happened to Roach? During a training session, Roach vaulted but missed the padding and landed on his head. Roach hit his head on the concrete ground upon contact with landing.
Roach’s official cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death for Roach.
