Lee Wright: Salsa Champion Lee Wright killed
By Therese Lisieux on November 11th, 2008Lee Wright, 24, a former salsa dance champion, died in a three car accident in Spain. Lee Wright was celebrating his 24th birthday in Malaga, Spain. Lee Wright was a passenger in a car when the car accident happened on Sunday, November 9. Lee Wright was in the back seat when one car behind slammed into his care and squashed it against another car in front. His driver had serious injuries. The car driver in front had his wife killed. Several occupants of the cars had injuries.
Lee Wright, of Canary Wharf, London, was also a dance teacher. Wright had won several dance competitions. It was known that Wright was popular among friends and his dance fans. His death was a sudden shock with many people.
His brother, Charles Wright, and his cousin, Darren Reeve, will head to Malaga to make arrangements to send Lee Wright home. They will also lay flowers at the site of the crash. Lee Wright’s friends are organizing a charity dance-off to raise money to help the Wright family with funeral costs.
