Leah Hirschel Walsh: Leah Walsh missing

Police have recovered the body of a white woman in the woods, about 13 miles from where Leah Walsh’s car was abandoned. A staff member of North Hills Country Club found the body. Police could only say the body had been out there for more than 24 hours. They could not identify the body.

Leah Hirschel Walsh, 29, a teacher at Glen Cove School (near Rockville Center), for autistic children, is missing. Leah Walsh has been missing since Mon. Oct. 27. Leah’s husband, William Walsh, last heard from her at 6:30 am when Leah sent him a text message.

Leah Walsh had a flat tire. When Leah Walsh failed to show up for work, her school contacted her family and authorities. On Tue., Oct 28, William Walsh met with reporters to hand out pictures of his missing wife Leah Walsh. William Walsh appealed for the safe return of his wife.     Police found an unidentified body in the woods, close to where Leah was last seen.
