Leah Bland of Washington, North Carolina, was swimming in the Currituck Sound when she suddenly disappeared. Bland, 26, was swimming near a boat, when she disappeared from view. Someone on the boat quickly notified emergency crews for the area. The air and sea searches yielded no results. The Coast Guard has suspended the search for Leah Bland.
