Leafil Alforque drowned off Proposal Rock, near Neskowin Beach, Oregon. Alforque was swept out to sea when a wave came. Scott Napper had brought his girlfriend, Leafil Alforque to Proposal Rock with the intention of proposing to her.

Scott Napper, 45, had been dating Alforque over the internet since 2005. Alforque, 22, traveled from the Philippines to meet Napper. Napper took Alforque to Proposal Rock and that was when the tragedy happened. Someone on the beach called emergency services and the authorities arrived to begin their search. At press time, there was no sign of Leafil Alforque.

Police said they did not suspect foul play.
