Laurinda Drake picked up a young boy who was walking down the road by himself. Laurinda Drake thought she was doing a good deed. Drake brought him back to her home while she made some telephone calls to the school.

Drake sent the boy to the superintendent’s office because she distrusted the school. Drake was then questioned by police for kidnapping and arrested for the alleged abduction. Laurinda Drake was tried in court, where the jury acquitted her of the charges.
