May 24 2009 – Britney Spears was a bridesmaid at her cousin’s wedding during the weekend of May 23 – 24. Laura Lynn Covington is Spears’ cousin through her mother’s sister. Lynne Spears’ sister Sandra Bridges Covington, had passed away in 2007.

Laura Lynn Covington’s wedding was in Amite, Louisiana. The wedding was organized by First United Methodist Church. Brain Spears, Britney’s elder brother, gave his cousin away as he walked her down the aisle.

Laura Lynn Covington’s mother, Sandra Bridges Covington died in Jan 21 2007. Ms Covington, 59, was survived by her husband, Reggie Covington, daughter Laura Lynn, sons Todd Covington, Rick Covington, daughter-in-law Jamie Covington (married to Todd). A longer list of the relatives is here.

Kyle King & Britney Spears: Kyle King arrested for jumping Britney Spears (video)

The video below showed Kyle King jumping on stage when Britney Spears was singing “Womanizer”.

Kyle King, 20, was arrested when he jumped on stage to be with Britney Spears during her live performance. Spears was singing at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut when King decided to join her on stage.

Kyle King was arrested by Connecticut police. Police said King had been drinking. Spears’ dancers and security quickly ushered King off stage before he got closer to Spears. Spears carried on her performance like a true professional and appeared undisturbed by King.

Police took King into custody. King was charged with interfering with police as he was uncooperative. King was kept overnight on Sat., May 2 and released on Sunday, May 3. King paid his bond of $250.
