Kyrgyzstan had a strong earthquake on Oct 5, 9.52pm (0252 AEDT). The Kyrgyzstan earthquake was near its border with China. The latest news said the death toll was at 70 and probably rising. More than 80 were hospitalized and 128 houses were destroyed. Nura village in Kyrgyzstan was destroyed.
