KSEE, a CNN affiliate, showed a video of a violent arrest by the Fresno Police Department. The victim was Glen Beaty, 52. Beaty is a homeless man with a pats record of resisting arrest. An amateur videographer sent KSEE the footage.

Police Chief Jerry Dryer has seen the tape from KSEE. Dryer admitted that a level of force was used in the arrest of Beaty. Beaty was restrained and yet punched about 6 times in the face.

Dryer alleged Beaty was violent prior to the recording of the tape. Dryer said Beaty was not tasered because he was wearing a thick jacket. The police officers sent Beaty off in an ambulance. They failed to collect witness statements.

Dryer said the Fresno Police Dep. will be investigating the alleged violent arrest of Glen Beaty.
