By Therese Lisieux on October 13th, 2009Khagendra Thapa Magar, is only 2 feet tall and 18 years old. Magar weighs 10 pounds. Magar lives in Nepal. Magar is shorter than China’s He Ping Ping, who is 2 feet 5 inches tall. He Ping Ping is presently listed in the Guinness World Records as the world’s smallest man. Magar will try to bid for the title of the World’s Smallest Man by submitting his claim to Guinness.
Magar has been celebrating his 18th birthday and has announced one of his birthday wishes. Magar wants to marry a girl who has a similar size as his. Another birthday wish is to get nominated and listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Before he turned 18, Magar was refused to be considered for the Guinness Book of World Records because he was a teen and there was no category for the smallest teen in the world.
Magar was born in Baglung District, 125 miles outside Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Magar’s mother is Dhana Maya Thapa Magar, 33. Mrs Magar said her son weighed only 600 grams, or 1 pound and 6 ounces, at birth. Doctors suspect that Magar may be having a malfunctioning pituitary gland, hence, his small size.
Magar suffers from learning disabilities and he studies at a nursery school. In his free time, Magar loves to dance. Magar is very close to his parents and said he would stay close to them even after his marriage. Magar’s parents are now searching for a suitable bride for him.
