Kevin Nealon, who plays Doug Wilson in Weeds, sported ligature marks around his neck. Thank goodness it was for the TV plot of Weeds. This episode where Nealon appeared with autoerotic asphyxiation marks opened as the new season premiere of Weeds on Monday, June 8.

Nealon’s entry in Weeds was a continuation of the previous season 4’s Finale, where his TV character Doug Wilson masturbated with a noose. Nealon said the scene with the autoerotic asphyxiation theme was shot in 2008. It had nothing to do with David Carradine’s alleged use of autoerotic asphyxiation for sexual gratification.

Nealon pointed out that Weeds had the propensity to reflect current events even though filming was done ages ago. Nealon reminded us about the fire in Valencia, California. Weeds had a subplot that dealt with a fire in the story’s location.
