Patricia Ann Simmons Kelly, 52, of Rockville, Montgomery County, was fatally shot by her husband, Kevin Kelly, 52. Simmons Kelly and Kelly used to live in College Parkway.

Simmons Kelly was killed outside her church Sunday morning, around 11:30am, Feb. 22.Simmons Kelly was killed at the parking lot of People’s Community Baptist Church in Silver Spring. Inside the church, a service was in progress.

There were off duty police officers around the church. When they heard gunshots, they went to check and found Kevin Kelly with a handgun. Kelly was detained but charges have not been filed against him.

Patricia Kelly was friendly, good and hardworking at a law firm. Patricia Kelly was seen attending church every Sunday. Police said Kevin Kelly was asked by his wife or family to leave the matrimonial home. Kevin Kelly went to the church to meet up with his wife.
