Craig Keegan, Newcastle United manager Kevin Keegan’s nephew, was found dead in a hotel called Metro Inns motel in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Craig Keegan was discovered dead by the hotel cleaner. Craig Keegan’s father, Michael Keegan, said that his son was afraid of open spaces (Agoraphobia). Craig Keegan did not leave his house for 5 months.

Craig Keegan booked his room through lastminute.com. Craig Keegan checked into the hotel room on Monday, June 30. On Wednesady July 2, when the hotel cleaner entered his room, he was dead.

The Coroner has to wait for the toxicology test results to determine Craig Keegan’s cause of death. The inquest had started but will continue at a later date after Craig Keegan’s funeral.

Will Kevin Keegan attend his nephew Craig Keegan’s funeral? There was no official comment forthcoming.
