Kevin Foley & Dr John Yelenic: Foley accused of killing Yelenic

By Therese Lisieux on March 19th, 2009

Kevin Foley, a suspended Pennsylvania state trooper, testified at his trial that he did not kill his girlfriend’s husband. Foley, 43, denied killing Dr John Yelenic, 39, a dentist. Foley was placed on unpaid suspension after he was arrested as a suspect in the death of Dr Yelenic.

Dr Yelenic, of Blairsville, Indiana, Pennsylvania, was killed on the eve of the day he was set to sign divorce papers from his wife, Michele Yelenic. Yelenic was by then the live-in girlfriend of Foley. Dr Yelenic was found killed on April 13, 2006. Yelenic had knife wounds and his head was forced through a window. Yelenic died from loss of blood.

Foley had talked about wishing for Dr Yelenic’s death. His colleagues testified Foley had discussed about that. Foley maintained he was innocent; he never intended to carry out any murder.

Some blood stained shoe prints matched those of a pair of Foley’s shoes. The trial will be continued.
