Lance Bombardier Kerry Fletcher, a lesbian and a soldier, has sued for compensation after being exposed to sexual harassment by her male sergeant, Staff Sergeant Ian Brown, for 4 years. An employment tribunal in UK riled that the Ministry of Defence’s treatment of Kerry Fletcher, 32, was outrageous.

Kerry Fletcher has been awarded £200,000, which is way more than the £161,000 that Marine Ben McBean, a double amputee, was offered. Kerry Fletcher’s compensation has drawn controversy from the armed forces and National Gulf Veterans and Families Association.
