Kent Whitaker is a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show today, Monday, October 10. Kent Whitaker will talk about his new book on his son, Bart Whitaker. Kent Whitaker wrote his book about his son, Bart Whitaker, who hired an assassin to kill his wife and another son. Kent Whitaker survived the shootings in Sugar Land, Texas, in Dec. 2003. Kent Whitaker wrote “Murder by Family” to record his tragedies. Kent Whitaker wrote about forgiving his son and the hired gun man.

Bart Whitaker asked his roommate, Chris Brashear, to kill his mother, father and brother so that he could collect the insurance money.

Kent Whitaker lost his entire family but prayed that God woud spare Bart from death row. His son, Bart Whitaker, was sentenced to death in 2007.
