Kendra Zanotto, a 2004 bronze medalist in synchronized swimming, was denied a visa to China. Kendra Zanotto planned to work as a freelance reporter for the synchronized swimming event.

Kendra Zanotto is also a known activist and China may be afraid that he has other intentions like spying and then publicizing it.
