Kelly Ryan was sentenced to 2 consecutive prison terms of 3 – 13 years each. Kelly Ryan will be eligible for parole on 2011-12-23.

On Friday, May 31, 2008, Kelly Ryan and Craig Titus pleaded guilty to the murder of Melissa James.

Melissa James, 28, was kidnapped and killed in 2005.

Kelly Ryan, 35, is married to her fellow body builder, Craig Titus, 43.

Deputy District Attorney Robert Daskas said that he believed that Craig Titus was responsible for Melissa James’ death. He believed that Kelly Ryan was responsible for covering up for her husband Craig Titus’ muder of Melissa James.

Craig Titus had admitted to having an affair with Melissa James.

Sentencing would be on July 18 2008. Craig Titus faces 15 – 55 years in prison. Kelly Ryan faces two – 15 years jail, or probation.

The coroner declared that Melissa James’ cause of death was undetermined. The burnt body could not offer much evidence to investigate.

Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan had their stories to tell. They said that hired Melissa James to manage a fitness clothing business. They let Melissa James stay in their house. They evicted Melissa James when they thought she had stolen from their bank accounts.

Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan claimed Melissa James used drugs. They said she died from a drug overdose. Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan then panicked and burned her body in the vehicle before skipping town. Craig Titus and Kelly Ryan were arrested on Dec. 23, 2005, in Stoughton, Massachussetts.

There was insufficient evidence but Craig Titus confessed and accepted responsibility so that his wife Kelly Ryan would face lesser charges.
