Kaye Gibbons: Author Gibbons sentenced for fraud
By Therese Lisieux on March 11th, 2009Kaye Gibbons posed as a doctor twice to get prescription painkillers. Gibbons is a famous author. Gibbons pleaded guilty to two counts of obtaining property by fraud.
On August 9, Gibbons, 48, pretended to be a doctor from Florida when she submitted an online prescription for hydrocodone. When Gibbons went to pick up the prescription, she was stopped. On Nov 2, Gibbons went to another pharmacy to collect a prescription that was filled in by pretending to be a doctor. Gibbon was arrested.
Gibbons was given a 90 day suspended jail sentence and fined $300. In addition, Kaye Gibbons was sentenced to two years of probation.Gibbons’ lawyer said she was undergoing treatment for her addiction.

Kaye Gibbons, the author of “Ellen Foster”, has made a comeback. Three years ago, Kaye Gibbons was slammed with drug charges on hydrocodone. Gibbons has recovered from her addiction to the painkiller.
