Katie Stam was crowned Miss Indiana last Sat. June 21 2008. Katie Stam entered the beauty pageant as Miss Duneland. Katie Stam represents Miss Indiana at Miss America pageant in January 2009 in Las Vegas.

Katie Stam sang “Art Is Calling Me” in her talent entry of the contest. In a coincidence, 2007’s runner-up, Nicole Pollard was Miss Indiana first runner-up in 2008.
