Katie Callaway Hall was a rape victim of Phillip Garrido when she was 25 years old.

Garrido had pretended to get a lift from Hall on Nov 22, 1976, in California. Garrido drove Hall to Reno, Nevada. Garrido restrained Hall in a small warehouse and raped her.

Katie Callaway Hall was saved by an alert police officer who noticed the light was on in a warehouse. Garrido almost persuaded the officer to ignore Hall’s objections by claiming she was his girlfriend. The cop saw sores on Hall’s wrists and arrested Garrido.

Garrido was tried and convicted for kidnapping and rape. Garrido was sentenced to 50 years in prison but served only 10 years. Garrido managed to get paroled. Although his name was on the sex offender list, Garrido managed to lie low and escape attention.

Hall said she was terrified that Garrido might return to haunt her or harm her. Hall said she was glad Garrido has been captured and placed in custody again.

Lastly, Hall said she would wish Jaycee Dugard, and her daughters Starlet and Angel, all the best for their futures.
