Kathy Augustine, 50, died in 2006. Her husband, Chaz Higgs, was accused of injecting her with a poison; a powerful paralytic drug called succinylcholine. Chaz Higgs attempted suicide by slashing his wrists but he was found in time by Kathy Augustine’s daughter, and saved.

Chaz Higgs was convicted. Higgs was sentenced to life in prison with a chance at parole after 20 years.
