Katherine McPhee said she has continued to work on her new album, which will be released in the spring of 2009. McPhee has focused on film and declined TV roles. While American Idol gave her the necessary exposure, Katherine McPhee was also mindful that she had to put in work into her music aspirations.

McPhee is acting in her second movie, in “The Storyteller.” It is an independent film set in Philadelphia. Her co-star is Wes Bentley.
