Katelin Rose Oakley, 30, of Golden, and her former husband, Robert Bryant Oakley, 39,of Boulder, were found dead in a Boulder home. The Oakley couple were discovered dead on Wednesday, April 1. Police suspected that a domestic dispute could have resulted in the deaths of the Ms Oakley and Mr Oakley.

The formerly married couple had two sons, who were 3 and 6 years old. Wednesday was their usual day for handing over the custody in their shared custody arrangements for their children. The divorced mother and father rotated care of the children every Wednesday.

Katelin Oakley was a lawyer but she resigned from her firm on March 20. Robert Oakley was a driver for Yellow Cab, a cab company. A neighbor told the press she left the former family home soon after her second baby was born. Police are investigating the case.
