Kate Winslet, the celebrity actress, has been compensated $40K for a wrong report published by Associated Newspapers’ Daily Mail. Winslet sued the newspaper which said she lied about her exercise program. Winslet filed her lawsuit to make a point about the false newspaper article.

On Tuesday, November 3, Kate Winslet won her lawsuit against the Daily Mail. Winslet sued for an apology on the false report which claimed Winslet made fake allegations about her exercise and diet.

The owners of the newspapers have apologized in addition to paying the court award.
