Kasey E Johnes, of Glen Carbon in southern Illinois, 37, was arrested on Wednesday, April 15. Johnes was charged with sexual assault and criminal sexual abuse on a male student. The teen was 17 when the alleged relationship happened but he has turned 18 since then.

Johnes is accused of having a 5 month relationship with her student at Edwardsville High School. Johnes has been put on unpaid leave while the investigation is on-going.

Kasey Johnes allegedly shared a sexual relationship with her student last fall 2008 and ended it in Feb 2009.
