Karthik Rajaram, 45, wrote 2 suicide letters and a will. Rajaram addressed one letter to the police and the other to his relatives and friends.

LAPD police believed Karthik Rajaram was depressed. Karthik Rajaram led police to suspect he killed his family because he thought that was his honorable solution to his financial problems. Karthik Rajaram killed his mother-in-law, Indra Ramasesham, 69, his sons, Krishna Rajaram, 19, Ganesha Rajaram 12 and Arjuna Rajaram, 7, and his wife, Subasri Rajaram, age 39. Karthik Rajaram used to work for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Sony Pictures Entertainment. These two companies have not offered to comment on his past with them.

The Rajaram family stayed in a posh home in an upscale, privileged, gated community named as Sorrento Pointe, of Santa Susana Mountains, in Porter Ranch, 23 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. The house, at 20644 Como Lane, did not belong to Rajaram.

A neighbor, who was part of a car pool, came by the house on Monday when Subasri Rajaram failed to show up for her transportation. When the bodies were discovered, the police were called.

It was believed that Karthik Rajaram had murdered all of his family members while they were sleeping. Police place the time of death as sometime after Sat. evening. Karthik Rajaram had bought a gun on Sept. 16. His body was discovered with his hand gun still in his grasp.

Condolences and prayers to the relatives and friends of the deceased. May the dead rest in peace.
