Karen Owens, 40, the mother of triplets, died suddenly of an undetected blood infection. Owens had felt sick for several days prior to her death. Owens suffered a heart attack caused of her blood infection.

Owens had decided to have more babies to provide a playmate for her eldest son George Owens. Karen had IVF treatment to become pregnant with her triplets Tilden Owens, Henry Owens and Aiden Owens.

The eldest boy, George Owens, is 11, while the triplets are 7 years old. Karen’s husband, Shaun Owens, 43, was asked to go out to buy painkillers and when he returned, he found Karen unconscious. Mr Owens said he performed CPR and Karen was sent to hospital but she never regained consciousness. Karen Owens died the following day after her collapse.
