Karel, a radio host at KGO radio in San Francisco, has been fired. Karel of KGO is also known as Charles Karel Bouley. Karel is based in L.A. Karel, a known gay activist, is a writer/ blogger for Huffington Post website.
Karel, on air on radio KGO, called for the death of Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber. ( Joe the Plumber can be reached at his new website home, www.secureourdream.com) Karel also uses the name – Charles Karel Bouley.
Karel was reported to have said – “F__G__D__Joe the G__D__M__F__plumber! I want M__F Joe the plumber dead.”

Karel/ Charles Karel Bouley said that a cheap, stand in engineer was careless in leaving his mike on during a break. Karel claimed he thought his mike was off when he muttered his highly inappropriate comment. Karel admitted that during breaks, he sometimes said remarks that were not meant for public consumption. He would converse with his chat room. Karel blamed the sound engineer.
The writer at The Examiner thought that Karel was fired to suppress a rising radio star. Karel was the lone wolf in a San Francisco. It was odd so when the perfect excuse came along, Karel was fired.

I called Karel on the radio station last night and told him how glad I am that he is back.
I knew the story about the firing but at the end of his show when he told it and said Jack Swanson offered him back his job, I called Mr Swanson this morning and thanked him. I adore Karel. He is good at what he do,that is all that matters to me.
Like Karel said to the two haters that wrote him hate mail. Haw-Haw. I laughed my head off. The feeling are mutual.
Can’t believe all the comments suggesting that hosts have polite discussions with idiots and agree to disagree, etc, – give me a break! Karel and Ray T are intelligent, when idiots phone in expressing their idiotic opinions, why should the hosts not denigrate them and eventually cut them off?
Karel should return. Along with Christine Craft we have someone pleasant with callers. There are few ranters and ravers that could be let go and replaced.
Yeah, I am glad the air ways have now been cleared a little of some, not all of the human waste, like Korel and the blatant venom, that comes out of one of the two openings he has. GOD has got rid of another one.
I remember another reason to defend KGO getting rid or Koral. I heard him – on the air – asking out another gay who called in. I think that is kind of unacceptable, straight, gay or indeterminate. Ronn Owens is the best of any station, he does some funny topics between the serious stuff.
Glad Korel is gone, one one occasion I heard him ranting about “what was in Sarah Palin’s panties”. Come on KGO, we deserved better!! And you still have some trash to take out, bitter little Christine, and Ray T who I once heard say, when he couldn’t get a male caller to lash back at his mouth, R. Talifaro directly called the dignified caller a “bitch”. Come on KGO, does Taliafero have to pull a Bernie Ward before you have the guts to get rid of him. Ray has no right to call names, My Mother went to high school with his mother(Castlemont in Oakland) – his Mother was a beautiful blonde, but was a beautiful blonde, but hey Ray, who you Daddy!! In the true sense of the word Ray is a bastard.
I stopped listening to Korel when he supported that perv, Bernie Ward. That’s when I lost all respect for Korel. I will admit that there were times that I did enjoy listening to him, but after supporting pervo Bernie? Forget it. That’s when I stopped listening to him. In fact, I didn’t even know that he was fired until just recently.
I do enjoy listening to Ray T. I find it commical when he gets on one of his rants and starts screaming and berating a caller. I swear one of these times, he’s going to be doing that, and have a stroke, or a heart attack on air. The only thing that I don’t care for is when a caller will say, “on “X” date, you said….”, and Ray T. will say, “No I didn’t! What I meant was….”. He can never admit that he was wrong.
I’ll continue to listen to KGO late at night. But am I sorry that Korel was fired? On the one hand, yes, because it sucks to be fired, but on the other hand, no, because it was Korel.
Since Karel and Bernie are not on KGO anymore I listen less and less. They were controversial, but fascinating. I do not even turn Dr. Bill on, his arrogant voice and treatment of callers is too much to listen to. Gene Burns, Christine Kraft and John Rothman are the last people I turn the radio on for.
Bring Karel BACK – All your other hosts are BORING.
Get Randi Rhodes – Mike Malloy even better – on NOVAM. I listen to them on my computer instead of KGO. You are the only progressive voice in Central Calif. Do us a favor against the GD conservatives, religion and sports.
Still not missing Karel. I’m a prejudiced, sick minded George Bush lover who enjoyed Joe the Plumber’s 15 minutes of fame. That said, I also appreciate the way that Gene Burns and Christine Kraft can be on air for hours at a time without flaming out. They are serious, polite adults who can carry on a conversation with any anonymous caller with a viewpoint different than theirs. They are also very good at getting rid of irritating kooks of any stripe. Some of Karel’s supporters equate his rantings, ravings, crudeness and hostility with passion. Sure, he’s passionate. He was also loud, hostile, intolerant and foul. Just plain irritating. Glad he’s still gone.
I blame the head people, like Mikey Lockoff, whatever, He gets paid to hire clowns like Karel and Ronn, Lockoff only hires his friends, and I guess his closet lovers. Kgo has gone down since the genius Bernie, has gone. What’s left is a lot of staff that needs to get over themselves…
Karel is a pissy old queen. He’s bitter, self-righteous, and, really, think about it, not very bright. I thought KGO made a bad choice to give him a regular show in the first place. I think KGO can take advantage of this opportunity to replace Karel with someone who is mature, intelligent, and able to listen to his or her listeners and the participate in a conversation. Karel was cut from the same cloth as Savage, et. al., and his meanness and intolerance won’t be missed at all by me.
Attacking the average joe demonstrates the depths democrats will go, in order to shove their racist agenda right down our throats.
Karel is just another casualty of the political disease known as liberalism. The symptoms begin with a mild identity crisis, which develops into a dislike for the “white” male”. This can have a particularly adverse effects if you happen to be caucasian, hate Christianity, and live in the Bay Area. Advanced stages of the disease leaves victims spewing hatred until death of their careers.
You don’t have to be a “Bush lover” to recognize the truth.
