Kanye West is honored in 2008 by MTV. Kanye West will have the prestigious closing slot of 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

The MTV VMA will be held at the Paramount Pictures lot in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 7. In 2007, Kanye West expressed his opinion that he was short changed when the awards and stage appearances were scheduled.
