Kalynn Moore, 26, gave birth on Dec. 21, 2008. Moore’s baby died soon after birth. Christ Hospital, New Jersey, had placed baby Bashir Moore in the hospital morgue but when funeral workers went to collect the corpse on Jan. 2, it had disappeared. Police told Kalynn Moore that Bashir Moore’s body was discarded out with garbage.

Kalynn Moore claimed Bashir Moore was born alive. Moore said she was given her baby to hold. Christ Hospital alleged Bashir was a stillborn. In N.J., a stillborn is not a person and that may be why the body was not placed in the morgue.

Moore wants her baby Bashir’s remains. Police and workers are scouring the garbage of N.J. and Pennsylvania, trying to locate Bashir Moore’s remains.
