Kacie Aleece Peterson: Kacie Peterson returned home
By Clarencia Cynrae on October 25th, 2009Kacie Aleece Peterson, 18, of Hansville, lived with a friend in Hansville and attended school there. One day, on October 1, Peterson disappeared. She surfaced in Manhattan but couldn’t give her name when questioned. She was identified when someone who knew her recognized her photo on a TV news report.
Peterson has been positively identified as the woman who was wandering around Manhattan. Peterson at that time didn’t know her own name or remember anything about herself. She was nicknamed Jane Doe until a TV viewer identified her photo on TV and called the authorities. The officials then contacted Mr Peterson in Washington.
Kacie Peterson’s father was notified by the authorities and he picked her up. He had reported her missing on October 1. Mr Peterson said Kacie had episodes of amnesia in the past. Kace once went missing and was found lying on the ground, near a stream. She couldn’t recall her name or why she was at that location.
When she was found in Manhattan, Kacie had told the people who found her that she did not remember her name or any other details about herself. She remembered she was writing a book on a fantasy adventure. The media outlets were prompted to publicize her picture and they asked for help from the public.
The authorities had checked Ms Peterson’s bank card and saw that she had been using her card since she was reported missing on October 1.
Kacie Peterson’s mother had passed away and she stayed with her late mother’s friend in Hansville to attend school there. Peterson’s hometown was in Colville, eastern Washington. Her father has brought her home.

No memory?
From reports of an active bank account?
This is a hoax for profit, how she got a memory for a pin number with the right ATM card?

I actually went to ski camp with this girl in Oregon a few years back and knew that something was off. I doubt she faked this for attention as her home-life was less than perfect. At the time she was a 13 year old girl and was still so naive and sheltered. But nonetheless a very sweet girl who needs help.
