Justin Shine, 26, is accused of kidnapping a girl, 6, while she was riding her bike. Shine lives in Hanover, Mass. Shine allegedly abducted the girl and tried to rape her.

On Sat afternoon, June 27, the girl disappeared for 30 minutes. The girl’s mother called police immediately and officers arrived to search the residences door to door. The girl suddenly appeared and directed police to an apartment where she allegedly was held. The girl had shackles on her legs.

Justin Shine lived in that apartment and police arrested Shine. Police are still investigating the case. Justine Shine is expected to be arraigned on Monday, June 29.

Justin Shine allegedly broke into the apartment of his former girlfriend, Holly Hersh, who lives in the area. Shine had met the girl while she was playing with Holly Hersh’s son.

Holly Hersh said she threw out Shine from her apartment a fortnight ago as he was abusing drugs. On Saturday, Shine broke into her apartment and wanted to use her home to rape the girl.

Police removed some boxes of evidence but Hersh refused to discuss what those items were.
