Justin Barber was accused of shooting to death his wife on August 17, 2002. Justin Barber and April barber were at the beach when the murder took place. April Barber was shot in her face and left to die in the surf.

Justin Barber claimed they were being robbed at that time. Justin Barber had gunshot wounds in his left hand, shoulder, base of neck and chest. Justin Barber survived.

April barber’s family and relatives accused Justin barber of killing April and then trying to cover up the crime. Justin Barber was in debt, having an affair and had much to gain from an insurance policy. Police examined Barber’s computer using computer forensic science and found he googled for “trauma, cases, gunshot, right chest, Florida & divorce.”

The jury in Florida convicted Justin Barber for murder. Justin Barber was sentenced to life in prison. Barber appealed but the appeals court upheld his conviction and sentence.
