Joshua Allen Cook, 19, and Jennifer Lynn Mauck, 25, were arrested for the alleged robbery of a pharmacy in Manassas, Virginia. Cook was accused of faking a hostage taking at gunpoint to persuade the pharmacist to hand over Oxycotin.

After the drugs were handed over, Cook and Mauck fled together. Police said this showed the woman was a co-conspirator n the scheme. Joshua’s sister, Amanda Cook, denied that the robber in the store surveillance tape was her brother.

Jennifer Lynn Mauck is Cook’s girlfriend. Both Cook and Mauck were charged with armed robbery and use of a dangerous weapon for committing robbery. Cook and Mauck are in jail awaiting trial. They are not allowed bail or bond.
