Updated Jan 5 2010 – A hacker replaced Zapatero’s photo with that of Rowan Atkinson, who plays Mr Bean in the comedy TV series and movies. Spanish in Spain are familiar with comparisons between their Prime Minister Zapatero and Mr Bean.

Spain’s Prime Minister, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, was talking at a press conference with Russia’s President, Dmitry Medvedev. Zapatero spoke in Spanish and said the f word (fol*ar) , when he actually meant to say “support”, or “apoyar”, in Spanish.

Zapatero corrected himself almost immediately. Zapatero’s staff declined to comment on the foul up.
