Jose Canseco, ex baseball player, pleaded guilty in court to a misdemeanour charge. Canseco was charged with trying to transport a fertility drug across the border from Mexico. Jose Canseco was sentenced to 12 months of unsupervised probation by US Magistrate Judge Ruben B. Brooks.

Jose Canseco told the judge he went to Tijuana to search for a substance to restore his testosterone levels. Canseco admitted to having used steroids and he had damaged his level of testosterone levels. Canseco was detained after law enforcement authorities found chorionic gonadotropin in his vehicle.
