Jorge Arbaje-Diaz: NYPD Jorge Arbaje-Diaz charged for robberies

Jorge Arbaje-Diaz, a police officer from the Bronx, has been accused of becoming a robber with a robbery crew. This crew of robbers had masqueraded as police men to rob drug dealers, torture them and threatening their families.

Jorge “Shorty” Arbaje-Diaz, 30, gained entry into the homes of unsuspecting victims by identifying himself as a police man. Shorty Arbaje-Diaz worked with an accomplice to blackmail victims to surrender cash. Arbaje-Diaz and 8 other suspects were accused of netting more than $4 million from more than 100 robberies in 6 states in the past 5 years. Arbaje-Diaz pleaded not guilty on Fri., Oct 31, to drug and weapons charges. Arbaje-Diaz was not given bail conditions.
