When JonBenet Ramsey was killed in 1996, her family were suspects. JonBenet Ramsey was a 6 year old beauty queen in a child beauty pageant contest in Texas.

The DNA evidence that was recovered from samples did not match anyone in the Ramsey family. The DNA has no match in police records. Police have cleared the Ramsey family and apologized profusely ofr causing them anguish.

JonBenet Ramsey, John Karr

Initially, John Karr, 42, a school teacher, confessed that he had killed JonBenet Ramsey but his DNA did not match those found on JonBenet Ramsey’s body. Furthur more, John Karr was not in the US at the time of JonBenet Ramsey’s murder.

JonBenet Ramsey’s father, John Ramsey and her brother, Burke Ramsey are left. JonBenet Ramsey’s mother, Patsy Ramsey, died of cancer in June 2006.
