Jonathan Ross has been suspended from his radio show for 12 weeks. Jonathan Ross will lose £1,344,000 as part of the negative disciplinary measures he faces. The fall out was over his and Russell Brand’s Radio 2 phone call scandal. Jonathan Ross was rumoured to be paid £6 million per year.

BBC, who owns Radio 2, accepted the resignation of Russell Brand and Lesley Douglas. Douglas is the boss of radio 2 and she said she would resign if her staff were sacked over this dispute. Lesley Douglas has apologized to Andrew Sachs, the receiver of the obscene phone calls from Brand and Ross. Russell Brand has apologized and said he took full responsibility for the phone calls. Now, Lesley Douglas has quit and she also said she took responsibility for airing the controversial phone calls. Currently, more than 30,000 have complained about the Brand-Ross lewd phone calls.
