Jonathan Lopez, a student in a community college in L.A., is suing his professor, John Matteson. Lopez made a presentation on marriage. Lopez quoted a dictionary definition on marriage and read out a couple of bible verses.

John Matteson called Lopez a “fascist bastard” and refused to allow him to finish his speech. Lopez’s class presentation did not get any grade from Matteson. Matteson wrote in its place, “Ask God you’re your grade is.”

Lopez wants financial damages and the right to do away with a code that banned students from making sensitive/ offensive statements.
