Jonathan “Jonny” Copp, 35, of Boulder, has died. Copp’s body was found at 4000 meters on Mount Edgar in southwest China. There was an avalanche and searchers found Copp’s body in the avalanche debris.

Jonathan Copp, 35, Micah Dash, 32, and Wade Johnson, 24, were first realized to be missing when they missed their flight on June 3. Copp, Dash and Johnson were supposed to fly out of Chengdu on June 3. The search party was launched on Friday, June 5.

Jonathan Copp was one of the founders of Adventure Film Festival. This is a platform for adventure film makers. Due to Copp’s connections to Adventure Films, there is a blog with updates and fund raising efforts to conduct the search.
