Jon Palmieri, an assistant baseball coach at Wake Forrest University, was arrested. Palmieri was a former baseball player in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Palmieri was arrested for soliciting a minor for a sex act. Palmieri chatted up a minor, 14, who was actually an undercover cop. Palmieri made a date with the “girl”, where law enforcement arrested him.

Palmierei was set up in a sex sting operation.

Palmierei used to coach baseball at Georgia Tech. He was held in high esteem as he finished his playing career with the second highest batting average (.395) in Atlanta Coast Conference history at that point of time.
