Johnny Benson, the present champion of NASCAR truck racing, had a crash. Benson was driving in the SuperModified race when his car crashed with another.

Johnny Benson was racing at the Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan, when he suffered serious injuries in his accident. Benson, 45, had broken ribs and burns when his car hit another car and then crashed into a wall. Benson’s car burst into flames.

Benson was warded at the hospital, where his condition was stabilized. Benson remains seriously injured but he is expected to survive.
