Johnathan Robert Hindenach & Riccardo Nistri: Hindenach accused of killing Nistri

Johnathan Robert Hindenach, of Charlotte, Michigan, was visiting Florence, Italy, when he allegedly killed a man. Hindenach was accused of killing Riccardo Nistri, 62. Nistri had two deep wounds on his neck, apparently caused by slicing from a broken shard of mirror. Hindenach told police Nistri cut himself.

Hindenach allegedly killed Nistri early Thursday, May 7. Nistri’s relatives had reported him missing. When they called his cell phone, Hindenach answered and sounded confused.

Hindenach was on a college trip to Italy with his professor and 7 other students. Hindenach was in an art class in Olivet College, Olivet, Michigan and the trip was part of his class activities.
